Weekly Wanderings 7

Hello lovelies!

I’ve had a pretty eventful week! I’ve been trying to get out more and do new things and get over the holiday slump I’ve been going through. I started out my week by taking a solo trip to Disneyland on a whim to check out the Food and Wine Festival. And while I totally prefer going with friends, it was kind of nice to have some me time and just wander around and take in the sights.

If you’re a Disney Annual Pass Holder and go for Disney California Food and Wine, I highly recommend getting the Sip and Savor Pass. It’s $45 for a lanyard with 8 tabs which you can exchange for food or non-alcoholic drinks that you can get from any of the participating booths. I got this Braised Wagyu Beef with polenta using my pass.

And as a bonus, at each booth you redeem at you’ll receive a cute AP exclusive button in different colors!

Brand new to the Disneyland parks is the Pineapple Dole Whip Cotton Candy and it’s awesome. Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of raspberry cotton candy. It just adds to how cloying cotton candy can be. I think the pineapple flavoring in this cotton candy adds a nice touch of sour that makes it a treat that I can really binge on.

I tried this recipe for Carbonara with Ricotta for dinner this week and I’m totally in love with it. I used asparagus instead of peas and I halved the recipe since I’m only feeding me. But this is seriously delicious. The ricotta adds a delicious creaminess that I feel has always been missing from my homemade carbonara. I think the next time I try this I might squeeze in a little lemon to brighten the dish though.

And lastly, BGA’s new music video is out! I know they’re a parody K-Pop band but the song is actually pretty catchy.

Have a great week!
