Starbucks ran a promotion recently just for a few days leading up to Halloween. The premier drink on the menu was an interesting concoction called the Franken Frappuccino. The drink is packed full of sugary goodness and tastes like a much lighter version of the peppermint mocha frappuccino while showcasing a spooky green color. For those of you who enjoy the lighter mint chocolate taste, never fear! The order for one Franken Frappuccino is relatively easy and the ingredients are available all year round.

Simply, it is a green tea frappuccino with three pumps of white mocha sauce, three pumps of peppermint syrup and mocha java chips blended into the drink. The topping on top of the whipped cream is peppermint syrup, but if you aren’t afraid of the extra calories then change it out for caramel. Or for a more spooky look, you can ask your local Starbucks if they carry matcha whipped cream.

Personally, I really liked this drink and would order it again even though Halloween is over. Just a warning though, without the $3 grande frappuccino promotion there will be add-on charges to the drink for the white mocha sauce and the java chips.
