When I was in college I thought that just getting my degree would be enough, that my classes would teach me everything I needed to get my first big-girl job out in the real world. And while a bachelor degree is immensely valuable and college was a great experience, it just isn’t enough. I wish I’d known that sooner. But it’s never too late. And learning is something we should be doing at any age.

Duolingo
Learning a new language is a time-consuming and difficult task. But whether you speak one language or five it’s always worth it to learn a new one. Duolingo is a website that allows you to start learning a language for free. They have Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian among other languages available to learn. Additionally, they provide English lessons in a variety of other languages. They are also available as an app on Android and Apple.
While the app doesn’t have all the structure of taking a class, it is a good way to get started or to practice a language you haven’t used in awhile.
